HOOKS STREET ALTERNATIVE CORRIDOR EVALUATION STUDY

From Hancock Road to Hartle Road (CR 455)

HOOKS STREET STUDY BEGINS

In March 2020, Lake County began the Hooks Street Alternative Corridor Evaluation Study which focuses on the proposed extension of Hooks Street from Hancock Road to Hartle Road (CR 455) in southeastern Lake County. This Study area is located within the City of Clermont and the anticipated corridor is approximately 1.5 miles in length.

The purpose of this Study is to create system continuity in the area and to provide additional multimodal options that support economic development goals. As alternatives are identified and evaluated, the Study team will consider this corridor's setting, the area's needs, and public input. The public is invited to share their ideas and concerns throughout the Study and may do so on the Share Your Thoughts page. It is anticipated that this Study will be completed by early 2021 with the final engineering and design to begin immediately after.
